Rodeo or not Rodeo?
The Good Stuff About Rodeo
More People Seeing Your Art
Rodeo is designed to help artists get noticed. People say it feels like Instagram, but better — focusing on creativity instead of random posts. If you want your art to reach new audiences, Rodeo could be helpful. The more your posts are collected, the more it shows up on the timeline for others and climbs in the ranking. I say here posts, because you actually collect posts, not art, but each art is in a post.Easier Sales with Secondary Markets
The platform makes it easier for collectors to buy and sell your art, thanks to features like offers. There’s no need for complicated steps, which makes things smooth for buyers and sellers. You can literally buy a post in one click.Rewards for Artists and Collectors
Rodeo has a rewards system that seems to motivate both artists and collectors, especially considering sales on secondary market where both artists and collectors receive part of the profits of the sale. This can bring more excitement and interaction around your work.Fun and Engaging Platform
Artists and Collectors usually describe Rodeo as fun to use. A great experience might encourage people to stay active, which can mean more attention for your art. I can say it has momentum and the momentum is now.
The Not-Good Stuff About Rodeo
Is It Really Profitable for Artists?
Some artists think the platform’s business model benefits Rodeo and collectors more than the creators. If making money from your art is your main goal, you might want to look into this carefully. To have idea, each mint gives you around 0.3 USD, so to reach ~100 USD you would need to get your post collected more than 300 times on primary market! Few people are getting it.Control and Decentralization
Rodeo says it’s decentralized, but fees, fixed prices, and time limits for actions make some artists question this. If you want full control over your work, this might feel limiting. You can’t price your art the way you want.Pressure to Fit In
Some users feel Rodeo can be a bit addictive or push artists to create certain types of art just to get more visibility. This might make it harder to stay true to your own style. The ranking features posts are are more collected, so, you need to climb in the ranking to increase the chances to succeed there.Terms of Service Concerns
The platform’s terms of service have caused worry among some artists. They feel it doesn’t offer enough protection or benefits for creators, which could make you hesitate to commit fully. Have a careful read at their terms of service before you jump in.
Final Remarks
Rodeo offers exciting tools to showcase your art, reach new people, and connect with collectors. It’s a platform that could bring fun and rewards, but it also has some challenges, like questions about profitability and creative freedom.
The best approach is to think about your goals as an artist. Are you looking for exposure, a new way to sell your work, or a fun community? Or do you prioritize control and staying true to your unique style? Rodeo could be a great addition to your strategy—but it’s just one tool among many.
Take your time, explore, and choose what fits your journey as an artist. No single platform can define your success—that comes from your creativity and persistence.
Talking about myself, I’m using Rodeo and sharing there photos I take or took in the past. I chose to share photos because it is not connected to anything I mint on other platforms and also because I see there an opportunity to show exactly this other side of myself, which is the love for travelling and exploring the world.
Yet, if you wanna read something more, my suggestion is these two articles below!
If you like this content, before to continue to read, remember to share it. It is free for you and it helps me a lot.
