Hello! Happy Friday!
I had an interesting discussion with a friend this week and he asked me how I make a living from the art, living in another country, if sales were down during most of the bear market, which is already almost 1 year. Well, I decided to answer it by means of this article!
Let’s get started!

Financial organization in 5 minutes
Financial learning has been a big part of my life, and I've always kept my money organized. I made sure to spend less than what I earned - that's the basic idea, and it doesn't matter where you live. You could have a salary or other earnings that cover your lifestyle (or change it). But guess what? You can do even better by following a method I really like!
Some financial coaches suggest not spending more than 30% of what you earn on essentials/fixed things (like rent, bills, basic foods, etc). It's a good idea to stick to this 30% limit for these kinds of expenses. Then, you can put at least 25% of what you earn into investing (or reinvesting if you're using some money you earn passively). After that, you still have 45% left to use for other things, like having fun or making life more comfortable.
Let's do a little example. If you make 3,000 (change this amount based on your currency), 30% of that would be 900 - that's the most you should spend on your essentials. Then, 25% of 3,000 is 750, and that's your investment money! Now, you still have 45% of 3,000, which is 1,350. You can use this 1,350 the way you want - maybe for your essentials for a bit, or boosting your investments, or just making life more enjoyable, like traveling, buying something you've been eyeing, or going out with friends.
Now, it's your turn. Answer these questions for yourself:
How much do I earn every month from my work?
How much do I earn every month from my investments?
How much do I spend on essentials/fixed expenses?
How much do I invest for my future?
How much do I spend on things I don't really need (or for comfort)?
How much do I spend on leisure?
Check how these percentages - 30%, 25%, 45% - fit your situation. You might find some surprises (good or not-so-good).
Final remarks
You don't need to be super rich to live off your art. The main problem I've seen with my friends is they try to live a life they can't really afford right now. Living a bit below what you earn is the way to go.
Feel free to check out another article I wrote a while back for more financial tips during my journey.

An opportunity for you artist or photographer ✨
Today I wanna show you a platform I have just discovered a couple of days ago, the @sealed_art, which is a platform where you can mint / auction / list your arts, and if auction, the bidder will not pay gas fees for the bid! Moreover, people can subscribe to you in order to support your journey and get some benefits that you can set in your tiers. This is a great way for you to get a recurrent income! You can see, as an example, my own tiers at https://sealed.art/artvisionnft.eth
To read more about their platform, you can access the tweet below.
Artists to meet today
In this section I bring you artists that worth to follow and check their arts. They all have been actively building their presence in the space.
The selection of this week is special because I’m experimenting the curation feature of objkt.com for the first time! So I wanna introduce you to Glitch Gala, where I have selected arts in the style of animated glitch. Each piece of art in the curation is either a gif or a video.
You can see all the animated versions and meet all the artists I selected at the curation page at https://objkt.com/curations/objkt/glitch-gala-2aae117b
